# Vehicle Import Customs Duty Simulator for Mozambique > Free online tool to estimate the customs duties and total cost of importing and registering a vehicle in Mozambique. The user enters the vehicle's origin, type, engine capacity, year and price (CIF) and instantly receives a detailed estimate of all applicable taxes and fees. This is the English summary of a Portuguese-language (pt-PT) tool. The authoritative version is the Portuguese one. The simulator targets individuals and customs brokers importing vehicles into Mozambique, particularly through platforms such as BeForward and SBT Japan. All figures are **estimates** based on the Mozambique Tax Authority tariff tables and current local fees; they do **not** replace the official calculation by the customs authority or a licensed customs broker. Single-page application (React + TypeScript + Vite), hosted on Netlify at https://simulador.matule.co.mz. Author: Clayton Matule. ## How the calculation works - [Vehicle origin]: BeForward, SBT Japan or other. They are indicative estimates; the final amount is set by the Customs/Tax Authority and the customs broker. ## Resources - [Simulator website](https://simulador.matule.co.mz): the main vehicle import tax calculator. - [Portuguese version (authoritative)](https://simulador.matule.co.mz/llms.txt): the pt-PT llms.txt. - [Full documentation (Portuguese)](https://simulador.matule.co.mz/llms-full.txt): expanded llms-full.txt. - [Full documentation (English)](https://simulador.matule.co.mz/llms-full.en.txt): expanded English documentation. - [BeForward](https://www.beforward.jp): supported used-vehicle import platform. - [SBT Japan](https://www.sbtjapan.com): supported used-vehicle import platform. - [Mozambique Tax Authority](https://www.at.gov.mz): authority responsible for tariffs and customs tax collection.
